All Aboard to Okehampton!

Do you live in or around Okehampton? If so, we will be visiting Okehampton from Monday 21st to Friday 25th October, holding information stands in local venues including the library, the health centre and the train station, to let you know how our services can help you.

Claire Cowen-Brown – Assistant Community Engagement Manager commented “We are pleased to announce we will be in Okehampton. This a wonderful community and whilst many of our carers live here, there are still more who we can support, especially those who don’t recognise themselves as unpaid carers.” Claire continued “Many carers tell us that their lives could have been a lot less stressful if they had spoken to us earlier in their caring journey. When faced with so many uncertainties, such as juggling family, work and social life, the addition of a new caring role can be overwhelming. During the week in Okehampton, we can chat directly to carers to let them know how we can support them”.
