Slow cooker pulled pork

Ingredients

1.5kg pork shoulder
4 tablespoons Worcester sauce
1 teaspoon mustard
250ml passata
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
2 cloves crushed garlic or 1 teaspoon garlic granules
1 tablespoon brown, bbq or HP sauce
half a teaspoon sugar or honey
salt and pepper

Method

Switch in slow cooker. In a bowl mix Worcester sauce, mustard, vinegar, garlic, brown sauce, sugar and salt and pepper.

Stir in passata.

Pour half the sauce to cover the bottom of the slow cooker bowl.

Add the meat. Spoon the remainder of the sauce over the meat covering the top and sides.

Cook on low for 7-8 hours.

The skin and fat can easily be trimmed off if you don’t want to eat it.

Cut into slices or shred the meat with a fork.

Use the sauce as a gravy.

The pulled pork can be eaten in rolls with coleslaw, with rice or mashed potato.
