How will face-to-face training benefit me?

As a carer you will want to provide the best support for the person you care for. Specific face to face training may help you better understand the needs of the person you are caring for and how you can best support them. Devon Carers have face to face training opportunities to help you with your caring role.

The courses enable carers to develop new skills and knowledge that they need to be more confident in their caring role, and meet other carers and be able to share similar experiences.  Increasing your skills will help you grow in confidence and reduce your stress levels.

All carer training courses are free to adult carers of adults, and in some cases travel and care costs may be available.

Please ensure that you give us a minimum of one week’s notice when self referring for a course.
