Carers Skills Workshops
We have a variety of free workshops that are aimed at supporting/enhancing your role as a carer as well as ones aimed at promoting your own wellbeing.
What are the benefits?
There are many benefits to joining one of our workshops:
- Improved health and wellbeing
- Fewer injuries relating to their caring role
- Increased knowledge
- Confidence boost
- Access to education and work opportunities
- A sense of achievement
We understand that it can sometimes be difficult for carers to attend workshops. Some of our workshops are delivered in person and some are delivered online, at different times of the day to give you options of times to suit you.
Our workshops help you to meet other unpaid carers to discuss a variety of subjects and to help support you in your caring role. Our online courses take place on Zoom – please let us know if you need any help using this.
We are committed to helping carers develop new skills and knowledge – increasing your skills will help you grow in confidence and reduce your stress levels. All our workshops are free to any carer 18+ who cares for an adult, and is registered with Devon Carers.
Please ensure you give us a minimum of one week’s notice when self-referring for a course.
